We desperately need martyrs in the Western world. But, Satan is far too clever to force the choices he forced upon the Maccabees or the 1st century Romans, at least until he knows what the timeline is. He knows now what happens when we lay down our lives for Our Lord.
So he lulls us into complacency. He has even made it not too terribly burdensome to avoid the evil consent of voting for evil rules or injecting evil poison. We just have to bear hatred and ostracization. No big deal, really.
Satan will continue to reward us for not being bold.
Our blind brothers & sisters need martyrs desperately.
May our deaths not be wasted on political issues, but only to bring glory to the crucified King. May our blood serve as the mud Jesus rubbed on the blind man's eyes, giving him the miracle of sight.
Want to think of something positive? Want to have an uplifting view of the future? Remember that you will die, and that most of you will die soon. Accept it. Embrace it. Prepare to do it well, so well that you allow God to use your witness to spread grace & save a soul.
The burden of living is heavier than a mountain, but death is lighter than a feather when you know what's on the other side.
The problem is, one has to carry that mountain well, or he'll be too weak to lift the feather.

Begin to glorify good deaths in your minds and in your communications. To do so with passion, one must learn what a good death is. Research it. Figure it out. Learn why I long for it with every breath. Then begin to inject the glory of a good death back into this nihilistic world.
