The Lord is present in this tabernacle once again!
After decades of invalidly-ordained Novus Ordo clergy taking over our Catholic buildings and providing only empty tabernacles, in this serene, country church the sanctuary light was lit, a beacon of light for those of us longing for the full restoration of Holy Mother Church.
The church in Saint Nêrée-de-Bellechasse, Québec was sold for a pittance from the modernists who no longer had any use for it. Yesterday, on the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the solemn blessing of the church was celebrated by His Lordship Bp. Pierre Roy, assisted by Fr. Jeremy Saunders (CMRI, Canada), Fr. Angelo Mello (Brazil) and Fr. Francis Mbadugha (Nigeria). Today's Sunday mass was celebrated by Fr. David Kemna (an American priest working in South Africa) with Bp. Roy giving the sermon. An international endeavour!
Also pictured here as altar server is Phillipe Bouchard who we were honoured to witness as he took on the habit of a brother and the name of Brother Louis-Marie. (Which occurred later during the mass)
Note: Father Kemna was conditionally ordained by Bp. Roy on August 22, 2024.
There will be much better photos posted from the day yet I wanted to share a few captures from this remnant oasis.
Statues of Our Lady and St. Joseph...
Banner of St. Thérése de Lisieux...
New Stations of the Cross were part of the renovations. Here are just a few:
As someone with French heritage, it gave me so much joy to be able to be present, to witness how God has blessed this faithful community south of Québec City who have laboured to carry on the faith which once was so vibrant and alive in Québec. So many towns and streets in "La Belle Province" are named after our saints. Sighted along the country road driving to the Church were reminders that the Catholic faith still can be found here:
In front of St. Néréé Church, there is an old statue of Our Blessed Mother, which a friend pointed out to me a few months ago, when he noticed the date: 1958.
"In the end,
my Immaculate Heart
will triumph."
