Fr. Francisco Radecki gives an analogy:
Say you just bought a new Ford and then you go lift up the hood and you see a Chevy engine and that's not supposed to be there, then you go and look at the steering wheel and it has a Chrysler logo, so does the glove box, go outside you see Toyota wheel covers and hidden in the trunk there's a Nissan emblem and then you take the owner's manual and you found out you have a BMW transmission, it's just not the same.
And what happened at Vatican II, just in a nutshell, is there have been 20 legitimate councils before Vatican II and Vatican II kind of just tried to undo all them and ignore history. The major elements of the Catholic faith are the mass, the sacraments and the teachings of Christ and all three of those are radically changed and I use the word radically because it wasn't just like putting in fuel injection or air conditioning things like that because there's nothing wrong with that I mean you want to upgrade, nobody wants to ride a Model T today. But to change things essentially and things that were condemned in the past became the teachings of today.
