80. Serve and Conquer for the King

I don't know who needs to hear this, but Jesus Christ is the Eternal King of Kings. You will kneel before His Majesty whether you like it or not.

He warned 2,000 years ago that even His patience will run out.

I'm sick of seeing the world spit in His face, and/or use His Name to justify stupid prideful ambitions.

One does not be a subject to the King of Kings as a stepping stone to worldly glory or comfort.

One does not show gratitude for adoption into divinity with lukewarm piety that's subservient to creature comforts and pride.

Christianity is not a religion for soft, cowardly, morally equivocating, mutual affirmation societies.

Christianity is extreme. All consuming. Subservient. Uncompromising. And mandated to conquer the world for Jesus Christ.

And we, myself included, have made a dog's dinner of it.

For that reason, as He warned, He has left us to the dogs.

Believe it or not, it hasn't nearly gotten as bad as it's going to get. We deserve it, and we need it, because it is FAR better to suffer now, if that suffering makes us humble enough to squeak into heaven when we die.

I pray He utterly shatters our pride.

The good news is that, when things appear to be completely hopeless, the mystery of iniquity will be removed. Then, the battle will begin in earnest.

At that point, you'll either be a victim or a warrior. Which one you'll be depends on how you respond to the world now.

Start by giving His Majesty what He is due, and kneel before your God and King.

And maybe consider allowing yourself to become offended on His behalf.

How dare people mock our God so flagrantly?

How dare we bite our tongues because we're afraid to make a scene?

You want to fight a culture war? Fight for this country?

Demand respect for the Logos.
