They think they are "bringing all of Humanity forward in its evolution," and that "the one primarily in need of redemption is not man, but the deity who is lost and sleeping in matter."
They BELIEVE that. So, you can easily see how millions of people who believe such a thing can justify just about anything, thinking that they are actually helping humanity proceed toward it's purest form & refinement. That's the philosophical basis underpinning what they do.
Now, take a look at history.
The Templars were the predecessors to what's now called Freemasonry. Then, the Church discovered the secret that the Templars deeply into occult worship of Baphomet. "Baphomet" appears all over their trial transcripts. These folk think that they go ALL the way back tho & maybe they do, because bloodlines & demons & whatnot. Back to the point - look at what's written on Baphomet's arms. "Solve" "Coagula."
Solve et Coagula, or Solution and Coagulation is an Alchemical concept, where you break down something into it's smallest components, or base elements (solution), cleanse this solution of any impurities, & then reassemble these components (coagulation) into a more useful or valuable substance. Generally, it refers to "Transmutation of Metals", but, in alchemy, the goal was to turn a base metal such as lead into gold. Esoterically, it refers to (secret or hidden) 'information' or 'knowledge'.
The end goal is to find "The Philosopher's Stone" which they believe is discovering "truth & enlightenment." They're all more enlightened than you, don'tchaknow.
So the Templars are disbanded in the 1300s, and the secret societies go underground for 400 years. Then, in 1717 ("17"), they got more public.

Then what happened? They began to impose their "Solve et Coagula" philosophy on the world.
Specifically, the arch enemy of Freemasonry was monarchies. All monarchies, but especially the papacy, as it stands against demonic esoteric practices (I know, not the guy currently pretending to be pope). Also ... revenge.
So, to implement their end goal, to dissolve and refine/reform humanity, they needed to eliminate all monarchies.
Enter the French Revolution in 1789. Freemasons both deny and admit they were behind it.

Freemasons sold a perverse notion of freedom, which gave rise to great atrocities and horrific behavior. Of course, it also ended the French Monarchy. It was the beginning of the end. It's been sold to us as a great and enlightening event in favor of "freedom."
Trad Catholics have always disagreed. Strongly. That's partly because Traditional Catholicism is monarchism. We are to order ourselves the way God is ordered. "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven." In heaven, we have a King. More relevant here is that we know it sold licentiousness (& many other things) as "freedom." The French Revolution was a very dark mark in our history.
But, know who thinks it's great? Trump's Q operative:

I baptize you in the name of Jacob and Freedom!” Jacob Molet was the leader of the Templars who was executed during the inquisition.

Now, they had a democracy wing and a communism wing, and could use both to manipulate, destroy, and rebuild.

And, I can't leave out the ultimate monarchy - the papacy.
In The Permanent Instruction of the Alta Vendita (1859), they laid out their plans in detail. In essence, it amounted to "“The goal is no longer the destruction of the Church, but to make use of it by infiltrating it."
Then this happened in, you guessed it, 1917:
My point is this - the "dissolve" in "solve et coagula" does not refer to our republic. Our republic was one instrument in the dissolving (destruction).
"You will contrive for yourselves, at little cost, a reputation as good Catholics and pure patriots. This reputation will put access to our doctrines into the midst of the young clergy, as well as deeply into the monasteries."
Read this again. Know anybody like that? Maybe someone who recently switched from Trad Cat to Trumplicanism? Hmmm.
Moving on
With regard to their fake pontiff, they can check that off the list. That was the hardest part. The rest is easy now. They have the world, and a fake pontiff who will support them by trying to destroying the papacy and distracting everyone from the big bad. How?
Well, he's trying to destroy the papacy by doing things it's impossible for a pope to do, and by making us all ignore him because he's a worthless Freemasonic, evil, demon worshipping, disgusting little man. And ... he's distracting us by doing that overtly, and making the world desperate for a "savior."
So, what's their goal?
They've dissolved the monarchies. Now they want to reintroduce monarchism, but reformed, under their design. With their king. One they want you to think is your savior.
So we get yet another "17" in 2017 ...
100 years.
