1. Controversies (real or contrived) they want you thinking about get MSM attention.
2. Controversies they want to die, they ignore & memory hole.
3. Fake fights get you arguing about it.
4. *Most of the time, the libs take the position they don't want you to take.
So they're absurd, stupid, emotional & cartoonish about it. The useful idiots will adopt their position, and the thinking American will reject it.
5.This works beautifully toward establishing trust of a person or acceptance of a controversial position. The thinker does not want to be anything like those people. He sees the flaws in their thinking & demeanor & rejects it. He rejects them, and accepts what they reject because if they're so wrong, what/who they reject/hate/distrust should be accepted/loved/trusted ... and defended. It entrenches the person who believes that he thinks for himself and manipulates him into groupthink programming while giving him the illusion of independent thought.
Then you have the programmers on the other side who seem more reasonable, reinforcing the position.
This happens every day, especially since Obama repealed the Smith-Mundt Act in 2012, which protected us from govt. propaganda and media.
In other words, govt agents disguised as media have been "legally" lying to you since 2012, at the direction of whomever is POTUS at the time.
